Ok so, some people think leggings are ridiculous and, maybe they are sometimes. But, only when people think they're pants, or wear them under EVERYTHING. Or.. so I used to think. Jeans + Leggings =

I know, it seems a bit shocking. I wasn't sure about how I felt about this at first, but my friend bought a pair of so-called "jeggings" recently and she was pretty excited about them. They actually looked great on her. Like any pair of leggings, one must not be too bashful anyway. But, these really look like jeans, although they are not denim! And, let's face it, they're hot.

Here you can see them a little closer. While apparent that they are leggings, from a distance these would look like perfectly fitted skinny jeans. And, if the woman who invented bootylicious is wearing them, they clearly must accentuate some of our best assets, ladies.
Cute! Some even have zippers!
I'm not very familiar with this designer, but Christopher Kane's fall 2010 ready-to-wear line was on the runway in London on Monday, and this was the first thing that immediately caught my attention:
Combining leather and lace on this particular piece worked out gorgeously. The leather defines and flatters the figure really well, the lace gives it that sexy peek-a-boo effect- I love this. On the other hand I could have done without having this floral pattern on every single piece in the the collection. An example of over-kill:
For some reason, I can see Hulk Hogan's wife wearing this...The floral is just so everywhere that it's starting to look like an iron-on decal. I do like the idea of the slit sleeves, but it's mixed with a boyfriend sweater and, the overall effect is just not flattering. Neither is this:
I would actually consider the top. I can see that under one of the many blazers that are also featured in this collection, or even a vest. But, the skirt is just a miss for me. Incorporating the lace with that very busy floral was a good move to break up that madness, but, it just cuts at the wrong place. It's a high waisted skirt and that Y shape hits at the widest part of the body. Luckily this model is narrow, but not all of us are. However, the length is great.
